What live chat with an AI agent costs

asktrix: Trix is included from Start ($19.99/month, 2 seats). Team is $44.99/month for up to 6 seats and adds learning notes and quiet hours. On top: your AI provider's token costs, at their list price.

Lime Connect: the AI Agent can be booked from Pro, which starts at €87/month (annual) with at least 3 seats. With the AI Agent add-on at €99/month (100 conversations included), that is from €186/month before Copilot.

The difference

Where asktrix is different

AI on your own key. Trix uses your API key from Anthropic, OpenAI or another provider; you pay the tokens directly, without markup and without conversation packs. Lime Connect bills its AI Agent per conversation.

Small teams start small. Start ($19.99/month) works for two people and already includes email, a help center and Trix. No minimum seat count.

No conversation limits. No asktrix plan limits how many conversations you have; plans differ in seats, history and features.

Fair to say

When Lime Connect may fit you better

You want a German vendor. Lime Connect describes itself as German AI software for customer service.

You need an enterprise contract and industry solutions. Lime Connect offers an Enterprise plan and pages for specific industries such as energy, manufacturing and e-commerce.

Switching

Moving from Lime Connect to asktrix

Plan for an afternoon. You can run both side by side on a test page until you are happy.

  1. Create a free workspace

    Sign up and invite your team. Start and Team can be tried free for 14 days.

  2. Bring your contacts

    If you can export your contacts from Lime Connect as a CSV file, import them under Contacts → Import from CSV (up to 10,000 rows per file; existing contacts are matched by email).

  3. Set up your help center

    Recreate your most-asked answers as help center articles (Start plan and up) – they are also what Trix answers from.

  4. Connect your AI key and test Trix

    Add your key from Anthropic, OpenAI or another provider and check the answers in the playground before Trix talks to visitors.

  5. Swap the snippet

    Copy the snippet from Settings → Channels → Installation, replace the Lime Connect code on your website and remove the old one.

Is Userlike still available?

What does an AI agent cost with asktrix compared with Lime Connect?

With asktrix, Trix is included from Start ($19.99/month plus VAT); you pay your AI provider for tokens. Lime Connect lists its AI Agent as an add-on from Pro, from €99/month including 100 conversations.

Can I bring my contacts?

Yes, as a CSV file under Contacts → Import from CSV (up to 10,000 rows per file, matched by email). Past conversations are not imported, so keep an export if you need them.

Does asktrix have a German interface?

Yes. The app, the website and the chat widget are available in German; the widget speaks eight languages.
